So here's what happened. A. Was brokering the Viewfinder for Venom. He sold it for 1400 Keys + 2 Golden Pans. Venom gave 400 Keys to A. as part of his brokering fee.

bassman went first with the 1400 Keys trusting A, then the trade was finalized with the 2 Golden Pans for the Viewfinder.

Since there was a 400 key brokering fee involved, i'm taking the low end for what Venom recieved for it(3300), and the high end for what bassman paid for it(3700), essentially treating this as an "SCM sale".

3300-3700 Keys should work.

Additional Proof/Counter-Proof/Constructive Criticism/Feedback is always appreciated.

a range with one sale seems kinda contradictory.

The 400 keys don't really matter since that was something not in question of the trade.

I've brokered tonnes of hats, and if it sold for something, then I would pay back like 90% and keep 10%, but the sale was the price.

So, I'd leave it at 3700.

Haha, rafiozol asked what to suggest 2 days ago, and I always thought that the range would make more sense.

Time to save the link to this suggestion for future reference.

Buyer paid 3700 so that should be the price…

But the seller received less, which is more or less what happens with SCM sales. Anyways, Mindacos resuggested because polar said the range could work here http://backpack.tf/suggestion/57aa0d39c440450e755873dd

I am not against a range, but it seems a bit unfair towards the buyer?

Has there been a similar case before?

Well, it could be considered unfair for the buyer on SCM sales as well, although i agree that a 200 key difference in price (mid range) is a lot.

I have no idea, i'm just keeping an eye on this one for future reference.

These are highly unusual situations I cant be the only one that thinks 400 keys brokering fee is insane. If you ask me, this should be 3300 based on what I've seen, or - better yet - this should not be used at all. Im personally against using sales this convoluted.

As for this case, reporting the sale as is will work for a hat of this tier, which is why I guess Im okay with this. Then again, these are all my personal opinions; theres no rule preventing this from being done, so dont quote me on this :P

Too late for that, I will totally quote you on this when needed :)
