Only valid seller
2.33 http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26771572 week
umm...dont you need a sale @2.33 ref since you are rising the low-end? pls let me know if i am wrong, it was a time since i was here on bp.tf
im lowering the price
sales aren't necessary for dropping
I'm pretty sure you need the 2.33 ref to sell in order to get rid of the low-end. Downvoting. Correct me if I am wrong though.
Not necessary. I thought the same thing, but someone explained to me that it depends on the mean of the range. Current range is 2-3, so the mean is 2.5 refs. Happysedits is lowering the mean to 2.33, so one unsold can be enough.
Okay, here is an example. Say if there was a range and the range was 8-10 ref for an item. The man is selling it for 8.88 and it is unsold for 4 weeks. It is "lowering the mean" but if it can't sell for 8.88 why would the lower range be removed since it shows it needs to be lowered even more?.. According to your explanation that would work. Anyways, maybe I'm exaggerating but I'm using that as an example. If it isn't against the rules then my mistake. But I'm pretty sure you can't do this. He is lowering the price in the mean but is also technically raising it in a way due to taking off the lower end and basically saying 8 is no longer part of the price and it is too low to stay that way. Eh, maybe my explanation is crazy but it's what I believe.
In that case you could do 8 flat if there is a valid unsold for that price at the time of the suggestion. If there isn't any, just an 8.88 unsold, then a suggestion of 8.88 flat should work as well (not taking in account the 5% rule, just an example).
Plenty of these type of suggestions have been approved. Let me search for some links.

I would give a whole speech about how I don't agree with this rule but rules are rules. Upvoting now I guess. Sort of have to haha.
