One seller originally offering 1 ref, then re offers at 1.66, which the seller accepts. A hidden offer of 1.33 appears here.

Another offer for 1.33. Offers of 0.66, 0.88, and 1 refined are hidden.

From the Steam Community Market:

8 transactions from the Community Market establish an average price of $0.43 USD, a median of $0.48 USD, and a converted money-to-refined price of 1.41 ref.

Based on this information, I feel that a conservative bump of 1-1.44 is required. No offers of anything under 1 refined are accepted, rather hidden, and only 1 link had offers under 1 refined.

    Where does 1.44 come from?

I'm assuming this comes from the steam market conversions, still iffy on that though.

Offline and Online communicating with each other?

        Paradox.

I always assumed they were the same person.

i find it to be more of situational irony.

though i dont think that steam market should be the only proof of the highend

1.44 is a conservative end of the range, based on the 8 sales on the steam market at 1.41, which rounds up closer to 1.44.

The community market is not a vaible source for proof, 1-1.33 is the MAX you should go to, no more.

Correction. The community market is not a viable source of proof on it's own. I have three that have adds at a higher price than the high end I am suggesting, and the high end I am suggesting is a CONSERVATIVE estimate.

We try to show common trade points on this website and 1.44 really isn't that. People who trade using steam market have an easily available pricecheck. This website is essentially designed to price based on sales involving items. That's not to completely discount steam market sales. They can be used as supporting proof when there is proof from trades provided. But 1.44 ref just is neither a common trade point in item trading nor a really meaningful price for people who actually refer to this site as a pricelist.

Just bought one at a ref in about 2 mins... downvoted

            Good Proof, upvote

got the proof, but 1.44 is not the best range to put an item at. but upvote.

Impressive. I put your suggested price to my calculator and I suddenly have to find profit from other items. Well, not really, I never really get a chance to buy at 1 ref, a decent trader rarely sell this at its current price anyway.

However I have learned (from 2 price suggestions using com market things and receiving total -50 points) that proof = outpost sold, and the price suggesting community here don't really take com market things. You may want to take notes about this.

Nevertheless, for fairer price = UPVOTE !

                  http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17647403 - I am buying them for 1 ref ...

0,66 never happens, tho not sure if 1,44 should be in the range but it's better than the current price, that's for sure. :)

The community market is not the best proof for these kind of things. And also the items also have to have additional fees on them. The suggestion is good but the range does not fit the suggestion that much. Sorry but if you don't show us solds for 1.44 ref I will just go with the button

As in the comments, the high range being based solely off steam community market is just too much an issue. An increase is needed here, but the range needs to be based off of hard offers and sales- converting steam market USD to refined remains too divisive to be usable at this time.

Closing due to insufficient evidence of high range
