Reopening due to false (?) range.
I have been buying rocket launchers for 1.22 and selling for 1.44 and it is really easy selling them at 1.44 but hard buying them at 1.22 yet...1.33-1.44 is a weird range so i will avoid doing that.

How do you mean the other one?
the other suggestion, their was another suggestion for the S. rocket launcher
These are so readily available for 1 refined, it's ridiculous. All from the last day.

All counter proof has sold quickly except one in which the seller is offline. There seems to be much less supply than demand at those prices. Even more Interesting is there are none at all available in classifieds even at the higher range. At the moment the cheapest available in classifieds starts at 2 ref with strange part on it. http://i.imgur.com/C6DafLp.png http://backpack.tf/classifieds/search/205/11/0 People must not be opening these crates much anymore.
Since I provided those links, all of these came up:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11775288

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11765131
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9543525
http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=9542792
That's now 17 sold for 1 ref in the last day alone. It's so easy to buy these for a refined. I could have bought 10 today for that much.
All sold within 17 min (probably sooner but that's when I checked) including the one listed at 1.22 ref. The person in the second link sums it up best "1:whatever these things go for". It's obvious to me that these are starting to go up and a few people haven't realized it yet.
If 100 of an item sells at 1 ref and 100 sells at 1.33 ref, it doesn't matter how fast they sell. The price should be 1-1.33. And all of my links were closed when i posted. They didn't sell in the 17 min since I posted them.
I assure you these are not equally available at 1 ref as they are at the higher range. I can tell this even from my brief look into this item tonight on all the major trade sites. These seem rather time consuming to find without strange parts now. It also seems like a lot of volume is being moved. Maybe it's just because it's the weekend but I believe it's because people aren't opening crate 44 much anymore and this is still one of the most used weapons. The botkillers even seem easier to find in the 1.33-1.66 range.
I can only be assured with proof. I have shown 17 sales at 1 ref in 24 hours. If you show 17 sales at 1.33 ref, we would get an equal number of sales: 1-1.33 ref. You would have to show 30 completed sales at 1.33 ref in 24 hours to make a case for 1.33 flat as the accurate value. And there's no way you would be able to do that because there are that many sales happening at 1.33.
The burden of proof should be yours to prove since you are the one speculating sales of 1 ref are 1 to 1 with the higher range. I know that claim is wrong from watching these sell today. I didn't document every trade because I didn't expect someone like yourself to ask. You seem to like grunt work so maybe while looking at the low range sales you can document the higher sales as well to prove it to yourself.
"And all of my links were closed when i posted."
This makes your "counter proof" much worse and should never have been posted in the first place. I won't post other sales of 1.33 to prove the high range has more sales than the low range but what I'll do is analyze quite a few but not all of your links. Please don't knowingly post resells/quicksells as proof, its a huge waste of everyone's time and I hope you can see why.

Again, if 100 get sold for 1 ref and 100 get sold for 1.33 ref, it shouldn't matter if they are resold or if they get sold quickly. The range should still be 1-1.33 ref.
And that's still only half of my links
Why don't you just look here: http://trade.tf/price/205/11
"Again, if 100 get sold for 1 ref and 100 get sold for 1.33 ref, it shouldn't matter if they are resold or if they get sold quickly. The range should still be 1-1.33 ref."
Yes.. yes, it should matter. For it to be part of the price range, an average player should be able to buy at the low range of the suggested price easily. Resellers monitoring for lucky, cheap deals, who scoop them up in minutes, should not, particularly because the trade becomes redundant and null after it's resold at the more accurate price.
And Trade tf only further backs up the trend I'm seeing with this item. Not only is their spreadsheet low range 1.11 but the graph lists the min at 1.16 today and 1.26 at one point yesterday. They list only 26 fair deals available. Once you look at those few fair deals almost all are closed out.
A bit more proof would do, like ConVict | blind polar bear's added with yours.
10 pages on OP, could do better
Most of em are quicksells:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11708264
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11686926
those "quicksells" happen more than 1.3 trades, you have to account for them
If 75% of 10 pages are "quickselling" shouldn't that be considered the price?
Not really...considering that they sell REALLY quickly at 1 ref.
That doesn't mean the price is low, it means there is a lot of demand AND enough offer to cover that demand.
But I thought backpack.tf represented the price they SELL for. Isn't that selling?
Having 75% of 10 pages is why statistics shouldn't just be made up out of nowhere
Not false range, I just gave my opinion.
Other suggestion was better.
Just because an admin says something, doesn't mean you have to do it.

Many sales happen below 1.33, as Phanatic had shown.
Downvoting.
Most sales happen at 1.33 though...and in the range of 1.22-1.44 and pretty much everyone on there thought that was a dumb range...
They thought it was a dumb range because you got rid of 1 ref...
But 1 ref is quicksell? And how can i prove that?
http://backpack.tf/vote/id/51b988ac4bd7b8f707000005
When this many people are selling for 1 ref, it should be in the range.
All the links of the other person got sold out almost instantaneously, doesn't that mean that they are quicksells?
Key word there is MANY
I bought one for 1.66
http://s16.postimg.org/xeqvelfkl/Screen_Shot_2013_06_14_at_9_12_41_PM.png
I sold a lot for 1 ref each
Have you got any proof?
http://puu.sh/3fXDW.png
2 parts
Yeah...parts don't really count in suggestions...if they would i would have way more evidence.
lol its worth 2 refs
ONE SCRAP? HAHAHA
Dafuk man
Downvote
Is there something wrong with you?
and also...i think i see a scrap there on the side...so it wasn't 1 ref.
I agree with this, I sold mine for 1.44 no problem.
Have you got any proof of this? Any help is greatly appreciated :D
The problem is that I dont have people comment on my outpost trades. They just add me :p. Really wish I could help.
Go under your inventory in steam...then inventory history...then upload screenshots to imgur.com and then post em here...
If you have been buying for 1.22 then it is obviously not impossible to buy below 1.33. Downvote
I am selling them for 1.44...and they sell really easily...buying is not so fast...the 17 that i have right now i got from a collector who was willing to bulk sell em to me.
So if they sell really easily for 1.44, why 1.33 flat? 1.22 -1.44 would be a better range
It's not impossible to buy for 1-1.22 ref. If you make it 1.33 ref flat, it means that at least 60-70% of sales happen at that one price. There seems to be a lot of sales spread out over 1-1.44 ref, so I think the current range does it justice.
Well sure there are sales at 1-1.22 ref, I agree, but they sell really fast, even at 1.44 i get adds every 50 minutes to buy one.
You do realize that your last suggestion probably would have been passed if you didn't close it. Even though some people (me included) thought it was a strange range, there was a pretty high voter approval for it. If only you had shown another seller - besides yourself - you would have had me won over.
Yeah well the market for these things (without parts) isn't the best...mostly quickbuyers actually...
You own 12 which raises some questions, but it is still easy to buy them for 1 ref
Well even if the price was raised to 1.33...i wouldn't really benefit...considering i am currently buying for 1.22 and selling 1.44, sure my backpack would be worth 1-2 ref more but im still selling for the same price.
However, you would be buying/selling much easier because it would be much closer to the actual suggested price. It may make it harder to buy it tho...
It's already hard to buy below 1.33 thus i am increasing price...
hmm, I think its easy, its just that people on OP are overpricing/lowballing. Try going on trade servers and buy them individually, rather than on OP. Also, the current price seems fine, as long as people dont try to make profits 24/7. Its the same with keys too..
Sold mine in 5 minutes with 3 views for 1.33 http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/11770296
I think that you are just trying to raise your bp worth...I mean seriously you have 12 of them.
Right, so that means he trades them and actually know the market.
I used to buy rocket launchers at 1.33 and in 1 minute I got flooded by 10 adds.
I have changed the price to 1.22 and still got to many adds.
Now my price is at 1 ref and buyers are not rare

brought 1 for 1.33 over a week ago. You can buy them for 1 refined easy if you wait on a trade server long enough though, but I didn't feel like waiting.
Make of this what you will.
If it's really easy selling for 1.44, then why isn't it 1.22-1.44? Your logic is broken.
I had it at 1.22-1.44 before, but then lots of people complained, so i switched the range to 1.33, because mainly i didn't have any proof of sales at 1.44 other than my trade.
