Seems fair, most of those trades have sold it.

Appears to be valid proof, upvote for you.

Now that's good proof. NOT the spreadsheet.

i sold a bunch of them for 1.66

Off topic, but does anyone think they totally missed the opportunity to name this hat the "Napper's Delight"?

If I ever sell craft hats it's never for 1.33 ref, I'd rather just craft it with another hat if I can't get 1.66 for it.

There should probably be a range on this of 1.33-1.66 if it needs to be raised. Also should probably raise the price of other craft hats, right? That jeepcap in #2 went for 1.66. That tote went for another craft hat and a rec. That hotrod on #3 sold. That battery bandolier on #5 sold for presumably 1.66 as well.

In other words, most people don't sell craft hats for 1.33 ref. This was the price people were offering back when keys were 2.66 (1 key for any 2 craft hats).

That's not the reason for craft hats having a ceiling of about 1 ref and 1 rec though, it just happened that a key was around the same price of two craft hats.

The real reason the price is around 1.33 ref is because at 3 ref, you can do the same craft without the hats at all.

I was wondering myself if craft hats would go up to 1.44 to close the gap, but that hasn't happened either. In fact, I've seen now more than ever nobody willing to pay even 1.33 for a craft hat, they all want it for 1.22. Interesting times...

I know why people offer 1.33 ref, it is not from keys. Only recently did keys get up to the acceptable 2.66 and now again they're rising back to the 3 ref they were last year.

The comment about the key wasn't even the point, just more to show the prices people will pay when buying hats in bulk. However, if someone actually wants the hat, 1.66 is the more common price. This goes for most of the "craft hats" i.e. low tier hats that people are fine about crafting together.

So, being this napper's despite is considered one of those hats, it should either stay at 1.33 or get raised with the rest of the craft hats.

Or I guess we can raise them all, one by one. It's not hard to find proof of people paying more than 1.33 for most hats.

Well, I think we're getting confused here. I'm calling a craft hat a "Craft Hat" because it sells for a craft hat price and is mainly used for crafting, i.e. it's not desirable.

Raising the price above the 1.33 mark needs a justification that the majority of buyers desire the hat enough to not relegate it to craft hat status.

A good example is the Head Warmer or the El Jefe, these are 'craft hats' of course, but nobody with one would dream of crafting them together. They are the hats you hope to get when you do some hat crafting.

Anyway I think this needs more evidence of the Napper's Respite being more desired than a usual craft hat.

Yes this is exactly what I'm saying- the respite is a hat people tend to sell to those that buy random hats to craft. You can get 1.66 for it from people that desire the hat itself and are willing to pay the asking price, but this can be said for the other hats that are low tier/undesired/cheap/etc.

We can find a few trades of people willing to pay 1.66 but I think I can find a few trades where people are willing to pay 1.66 for several other hats which we value to be "craft hats" or "crafting fodder".

Ok, well I'd recommend making a price suggestion for those hats at 1.33-1.66 ref instead of 1.66 ref.

This truely is an awsome hat. Ive always managed to sell it for 1.66 and i do think this is the price for this.
