I can raise using this quickbuyer
http://backpack.tf/item/4292572120
none on this, dont have premium to check the other
edit: vitto said the one I couldnt check never moved either
Only 2 exist, the one you could not check never moved
oh I thought it said 3, whoops
Well there ya go, this should be good
I wouldn't update this with buyers.
with no recent sales, its the only thing going for it
Then it should remain unupdated
But if Im allowed to use the buyers (in the same way u can use unsold sellers), then whats the problem? Your opinion?
Updating a hat based on a buy order gives a hat a fabricated and usually incorrect value. Buy orders can either be very low as many people quickbuy hats for profit or can be made to be very high in order to fabricate the price for an item, thus price manipulating said item.
This is an example of the former. There is no doubt in my mind that a Bonzo Salty Dog could sell for way more than 130. However, when you give this item an in-date price of 130, that devalues it to an extent, thus making it harder to sell for more items of higher value. This item could essentially be counted as unpriced since its current price was made before it went all class, and when a hat goes all class its value rises exponentially. You wouldn't attempt to price an unpriced item using only a buy order, or at least I hope you wouldn't.

This is an example of an item that many people have tried to raise the price of using solely buy orders. While someone may be willing to pay around double Backpack.tf's current listed price for an item, it is still a wildly inaccurate evaluation for side item because it could realistically fetch for more. However, when you give it an inaccurate in-date price, that is far worse that an inaccurate price that is also outdated.

Here is another example of an item that was attempted to be raised on buy orders alone, and it also failed.
Buy orders are only useful in suggestions when trying to find an outlier of sales. Let's say there's sales on a hat at 80, 90, and 100. 80-100 is a totally fine range, but if there is a buyer at say 82, then that proves the sale at 80 to be a low outlier. Consequently, the aforementioned hat would then be priced at 90-100, a more accurate evaluation when compared to 80-100, in that case at least.
mm I see now. Guess I'll shut this down
