Noticed this one dropping in value while browsing the steam market / tf2outpost

I had closed this a few minutes ago, but checked over my proof again and thought it wouldn't hurt just suggesting and seeing what the other users/mods thought

Obviously this is ignoring all the special level vintages, which are like half of the bonnets on outpost (and painted ones, I ignored those because those are too arbitrary and up for debate)

All of these were bumped either manually or automatically within an hour before this suggestion was made

Selling for 5 ref:

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/12658307 1 month old, no autobump (but over 100 views), not sold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13736944 17 hours, 5 ref, no autobump, unsold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13734215 20 hours, 5 ref, no autobump, unsold

Selling at the previous price of .9-1 keys (5.33-5.88 ref):

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13741183 half a day, 5.44 ref, no autobump, unsold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13044126 1 key, 3 weeks, no autobump (but over 100 views), unsold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13704961 1 day, no autobump, 1 key, unsold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13561405 1 week, 1 key, no autobump, unsold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13588055 6 days, 6 ref, autobump, unsold

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13571348 6 days, 1 key, no autobump, unsold

To be fair, vintages DO take a while to sell, BUT if 5 ref (.8 keys) were such a low quicksell price (read: lower than current lower end of .9 keys or 5.33 ref), wouldn't they be snatched up in quicker than 15 hours, or at least, a month?

Only one that's been sold for 5 ref at this point was one of them in the classifieds, at least from what I can tell -- it's no longer in the user's backpack.

I'd still need more proof before I can be sure of my vote. I mean, yeah, take a while to sell they might but I'm not going to be giving an item of which thousands exist a price based on not even five sales.

I'm not downvoting, nor upvoting. Just gonna wait and see, maybe search Outpost a bit myself as well.

If you find any counterproof, feel free to post it here

Same goes with proof that helps the suggestion

Just want to see if you find something that disproves this that I missed, since I don't want to give a faulty suggestion

To avoid allegations that I closed the last one to get rid of the counterproof, the two posts were:

> 15 hrs is a very short time for vintages. Normal time for one to sell is at 5 days.

> You only have 3 sellers at 5 ref and only 1 of your links of unsolds have autobump.

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/13747316 - Offered an El Jefe for the Bonnet (.9-1 key), but was rejected.

Read them here at the closed one: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/52116a54ba25362a2f000003

Anyways, my refutation to the first one:

Normal time might be to sell them in 5 days, but what would be the time to quicksell one at lower than the BP.tf lower end? I would think that nearly a day would be sufficient to show that it's not a quicksale.

As for not having autobump, that's true; but, most people who trade with vintages would check through the search function for the best price for at least a page, and those non-autobump 5 ref ones were both bumped manually many times.

Just wondering, how much experience do you have trading vintage hats?

Shouldn't really matter (prices are prices), but I've traded around 10 I'd say

IMO, I think it does, they are collectors items and do tend to hold their value, but the time taking to sell does vary. Getting 1 key for this hat is still no problem as a couple of others have noted below.
